## ✅ Ways to Contribute

### 1. Report Bugs
Please open an issue with:
- What you expected to happen
- What actually happened
- Steps to reproduce
- Logs, screenshots, or request/response samples if relevant
- Your environment (`Node`, OS, MongoDB version)

### 2. Propose Features
For significant changes, open an issue first so we can align on scope and design before implementation.

### 3. Submit Code
Good first contributions include:
- Fixing docs or examples
- Improving logging and error handling
- Adding tests
- Polishing API responses or UI flows
- Building new example agents

## 🛠️ Development Workflow

1. **Create a branch**
   ```bash
   git checkout -b feat/short-description
   ```

2. **Make focused changes**
   - Keep PRs small and reviewable when possible
   - Prefer one concern per PR

3. **Run checks locally**
   ```bash
   npm run lint-all
   npm run test-all
   npm run test:e2e
   npm run format
   ```

4. **Commit clearly**
   Examples:
   - `feat(api): add task filtering by capability`
   - `fix(agent-sdk): handle missing mcp endpoint`
   - `docs(readme): improve quickstart`

5. **Open a Pull Request**
   Include:
   - A short summary of the change
   - Why it matters
   - Screenshots or logs if helpful
   - Notes on testing performed

---

## 🧪 Testing Expectations

Please add or update tests when changing behavior.

Suggested checks:

```bash
npm run test-all
npm run test:e2e
```

If your change affects the API, include at least one of:
- updated E2E coverage
- a reproducible manual test flow
- example request/response snippets in the PR description

---

## 🎨 Code Style

- Use **TypeScript** idioms and keep types explicit where useful
- Follow the existing NestJS / Angular structure
- Prefer small, focused functions
- Keep logging meaningful and production-friendly
- Run formatting before submitting:

```bash
npm run format
```

---

## 📚 Documentation Contributions

Documentation improvements are highly valued.

You can help by improving:
- `README.md`
- setup instructions
- example agents
- API usage docs
- launch/demo documentation

If something was confusing for you, that is a great candidate for a docs PR.

---

## 🔐 Security

Please **do not open public issues for security vulnerabilities**.

Instead, report them privately to the repository owner/maintainer with:
- impact summary
- reproduction steps
- suggested mitigation if available

We appreciate responsible disclosure.

---

## 💡 Contribution Tips

- Start with a small issue if you are new to the project
- Ask questions early if requirements are unclear
- Keep discussion constructive and technical
- If you build a cool agent on top of Wuselverse, we’d love to feature it
